Frequently Asked Questions - Te Aroha
Q. Do I cater to Vegan's.
A. Yes, I most certainly do. All the massage oils, essential oils and creams, lotions, soaps are suitable for Vegan's, even my cleaning products that we use are Cruelty free.
Q. I am very shy and uncomfortable within my own body, I have never "done this before" can you help me?
A. It is quite normal to feel vulnerable when receiving any kind of massage therapy. As a practitioner I am very aware of the range of comfort levels my patrons experience and I pride myself on having an easy going and non judgmental bedside manner, which may encourage you to explore at your own pace with me as your guide. Receiving touch should be fun, liberating and authentic. I am sure you will love the experience of freeing yourself from your fears.
Q. Is my massage therapist nude during my Sacred Sensual Massage? (Yes/No/Maybe)
A. There is no straight answer for this question, I am a Naturist, so I am not averse to nudity, however I do believe that it is important to keep the focus on you (the client) during the session.
In the past, I have experimented with nudity during session, and it seemed that once my clothes came off, guys especially, thought that they had a new playground in which to explore. (This shifts the focus from "receiving" to "taking" and then destroys the intention of the session.)
During certain sessions I may decide to be topless, this will most likely only happen in the longer sessions 2 hour plus... this is however my choice and dependent on the individual's behaviour that I am working with. (Certain circumstances shall predict the outcome... there are times when skin on skin contact is needed, especially when an individual has not experienced the touch of another person in a long while)
There are only three sessions that I am completely nude in, this is the Yin Yang Four-Handed Massage, The Sacred Sensual Couple's Massage and the Nude Body Bliss Experience.
Q. Do I allow reciprocal Touch?
A. This answer is two fold, please read below
Yes: if you have booked in for any of the Sensual Sessions. then most definately Yes...I encourage mindful touch, and total presence in your session, I do have certain boundaries and these will be discussed with you prior to your massage.
*There have been certain occasions where client's have made the comment that is unfair for them have all the pleasure and me not...
Let me assure you, that I am a very well pleasured woman already, and I do not need or want you worrying about my pleasure when you are in a "receiving" state.
see my latest offering "Nude Body Bliss" that includes mindful two way touch.
No: Reciprocal Touch is not appropriate during any of the Stress Management or Sacred Sessions as these are not of a Tantric nature.
Q. Do I allow you to kiss me?
A. No I do not allow kissing... However I do give all my clients a hug and a kiss on the cheek as a greeting, when they arrive or leave, but it is not the kiss of a lover.
Kisses are a way to exchange bodily fluids and spread STD's, something which I do not allow in my practice.
Q. Do I wear gloves?
A. Yes I most certainly do!
My "Duty of Care" standards are extremely high, and this includes protecting you, my client as well as myself. I wear a thin Nitrile glove that allows a silky touch as well as protection from the exchange of any fluids. You can RELAX AND SURRENDER into your massage, safe in the knowledge that my hygiene and safety first protocols are of the highest standard. All sensual, erotic and tantric bodywork will be carried out with the use of gloves. As I am an avid gardener and landscaper, I often cut and bruise my fingers so, this is for your protection and well as my own. There is no compromise on this issue. Gloves Rock! Safety First Rocks!
Q. Do I offer full service?
A. Full Service is NOT an offering that I provide.
Q. What is a Lingam?
A. The Indian Sanskrit word for the male sexual organ is — the Lingam — (aka Penis) and is loosely translated as “Wand of Light.” In Tantra or Sacred Sexuality, the Lingam is respectfully viewed and honored, as a “Wand of Light” that channels creative energy and pleasure. In the West, cultural expectations around sexual “performance” have created difficulties for many men, including erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.
Q. What is a Yoni?
A. THE FEMALE VAGINA IS CALLED A YONI, which according to Tantric Philosophy is the source of all that exists and represents Shakti and Devi, the creative force that moves throughout the entire universe.
Q. How do you choose which session is right for you?
A. I offer a variety of treatment options or experiences for clients. How does one decide between a Stress management Session, Sacred session or Sensual session you may ask yourself?
Everyone has different needs, so one type of massage is never the answer. Certain clients may just need a straight therapeutic massage to ease the aches and pains of sore muscles. Others may be needing a deeper more spiritual re-connective type experience to re-awaken their connection to the Divine, while some that have not been touched intimately in a while require the exquisite loving and sensual touch of a woman or a man. Q. I have Peyronies Disease. Can a Sensual Massage help with this?
A. I believe that Peyronies can be helped with regular massage. It is important to not lose hope. Myself and a few other Sacred Sensual therapists around the world have been getting great results with Peyronies. It does involve commitment by regular twice daily massage of the penis focusing on the scar tissue that has created the trauma. I now offer a dedicated Peyronies Massage Session and Prostate Massage.
Q. I have other questions that are not covered here, may I call you?
A. You are most welcome to call me, I prefer a quick phone call rather than receiving a series of texts. When calling, please make sure that you introduce yourself first, and then ask me the question. I am more than happy to chat if I have free time.
Q. What is the difference between an Erotic Mini Surrender Session and a Loving Touch Sacred Sensual Massage?
A. An Erotic Mini Surrender session has an element of BDSM within the session, for those people who wish to just explore sexy and erotic dominant touch with a release, lots of stimulation, impact play (spanking, flogging, whipping, temperature play) the ideal recipient for this session is someone who doesn't need to go deep or need specific heart connection but rather body stimulation, it is rather a receiving session than a reciprocal mutual touch session whereas the Loving Touch Sacred Sensual Session is slower, more relaxing, grounding and spiritual with a deeper heart connection, tantric breath-work, body movement. Extra time is taken to support and guide regarding life issues, sexual dysfunction and life path questions.
Q. What does a full body massage cover? (approximate 1hour - 3hours)
A. A full body massage includes the entire body and depending on the session chosen* see below will either include or exclude genital touch, (most other massage therapists do not massage breasts, buttocks or the stomach) I do, like I said in my introduction I massage the whole person unless there is a good reason not too. Therefore from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, both sides included.
*note a full body massage can be either a stress management massage (no g.t.), an aromatherapy/sacred massage (no g.t.) or a sensual massage (g.t)
Q. What does a sensual massage cover? (sessions available from 1 - 3 hours)
A. A Sensual Massage, is a beautiful Full Body Awakening experience, which includes playful sensory touch, therapeutic bodywork as well as tantric and erotic massage of the whole body. I also include massage of the Lingam (Penis) , Prostate and Buttocks in Men, and The Breasts, Buttocks, Sacred Spot, Yoni (Vagina) in Women. The intention behind a sensual massage is to awaken the Kundalini energy within the body and this will ultimately lead to orgasm or ejaculation.
