Soul Dance for Vibrant Beings...dance your cares away
Come dance with me to awaken, activate, connect and invoke...
All Vibrant Beings are invited to come and dance on Wednesday’s at the Waihou Community Hall.
I will be holding two separate sessions (a morning session for women only and evening session for both genders)
I love to dance, I am not a dance teacher, I am just a woman who enjoys the way my soul sings when I dance to beautiful moving music and I especially love it when I am joined with people that feel the same way.
Years ago I created a belly dance class in a town that hadn’t heard of such a thing, the women that came together had never danced that way before, they learnt how to tap into their feminine and some of them connected with their sensual goddess that had until then been asleep. They made solid friendships and had so much fun dancing and sharing their passion with others, and even after I moved, the group stayed together and grew stronger. For a few years now I have had a deep desire to bring the same essence to our beautiful town of
Te Aroha.
The Reason: There is something beautiful that happens when people dance together. Problems seems to evaporate, the soul gets lighter, the body gets leaner and healthier and the peace and joy that follow are truly transcendent and liberating.
I know that there are groups already that offer activities and friendship in the community, I have never fitted into any of these groups. I am different, so this Soul Dance is for those that resonate, these people feel slightly different, don’t fit in anywhere else, want a deeper connection with their bodies and their sisters and brothers. I would think that this group would entice people that are shy, or too much, or have something to say or share, or have a yearning for something more or they just want to dance solidly for one hour and share a good conversation and make some friends.
I expect that this Soul Dance will evolve organically, and depending on the interest and support we will follow a process of dance, body awakening, quiet rest/cool down/meditation, quick sharing circle if there are those that wish to connect and share stories, then refreshments.
The morning session will be for men and women bodies - 10.00 am
A Sacred Space of sharing, dance and body awareness to help connect and reignite your passion and creativity, with fellowship and mindfulness with the essence of sisterhood.
I really wish for men to become involved and feel welcomed. There is a lot of pressure on men to be super masculine, be the provider, get it right first time etc... but this creates huge pressure on the mind, body and spirit and a rigidity that harms the body. There should be balance and fluidity, dance is a great way to bring this in. Some men also need to be able to share their worries and vent in a safe supportive environment instead of bottling up their worries... let's embrace them with open arms like true loving goddesses.
On occasion, I will offer workshops in the afternoon on healing, nutrition, cooking, aromatherapy, astrology or mind body spirit etc (these will evolve organically too)
